Executive summary of the “Heart of America Project” proposed by the Descendants of American Slaves for Economic and Social Justice (www.das4esj.org) in St. Louis, Missouri. This model project will demonstrate on a community level the citizen ownership and capital credit financing features of the proposed national Economic Democracy Act. It will feature the Citizens Land Development Cooperative and use of commercial banks, insurance companies and the regional Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis how the EDA can create equal capital ownership opportunities for every citizen.
